Who is Michi?

Hi! My name is Michi Román. I’m a Puerto Rican Artist based in Barcelona. For many years I dappled between sculpture and jewelry, torn between the two, before realizing my passion for making wearable art.

I was raised in the countryside of the beautiful Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico. I grew up riding horses, climbing trees and running up hills and sunny beaches since a child. Surrounded by tropical forests, breath taking beaches and their flora and fauna. Hence my nature inspired collections, not only from Puerto Rico, but from all the places that I have been blessed to travel.

Amongst my collections you will find the “animal rings” series, which was one of the earlier lines I launched. The process behind each piece created is done wholeheartedly, from the first sketch to the final polish.
